Purchased physical copy at ShireCon 2024. Converted to Shadowdark and ran online 12/26/24

I'll get the negative out of the way - I'm not a big fan of the brochure style presentation. The small print is not easy on my old grognardy eyes, and as someone who plays on a grid I'd have preferred a 'proper' map.

But that said, zero regrets. This is a tremendous adventure, with great flavor much like everything else I've read from YouCanBreatheNow. Some highlights:

- The party travelling through the mountains on cold winters day, only to realize when they arrived that no one brought rope.

- The first time player rolling up a priest of Saint Terragnis (to fit the Shadowdark setting I had Saint Verity be an important hero in Terragnis' service) giving the new player a chance to shine and be the star of the show.

- The players panicking as soon as the skeletons started banging on the barricade.

- Giving a big NOPE and resealing the door as soon as they saw the Brown Mould.

- After the adventure my wife asking "Undead nuns? Really? Who the f*@$k wrote this?!?"

Big win. Looking forward to adding the other YCBN adventures I picked up at Shire Con into my campaign. Well done.

Thanks so much for this review/play report! I'm glad you had a good time with it, this is one of my favorite adventures to run and I love to discover how different groups handle the delve- my last group stubbornly spent way too long devising a complicated scheme to clear out the brown mould so I'm finding it hilarious that your players were just like AWW HELL NO. I also really appreciate the feedback, including the criticism of the format. I love the feel of these grimy little zines but you'll be pleased to hear that I've got a couple upcoming releases that will abandon the format for something more traditional.
